Use caution when walking on a wet surface to avoid injury or damage to contents/structure.
Remove valuable objects to a safe, dry place
Take pictures of damaged areas
Remove excess water by mopping and blotting
Remove and prop wet upholstery and cushions
Place aluminum foil or wood blocks under furniture to reduce furniture damage from wet carpet.
Turn air conditioning on for maximum drying in summer
